About the Author

Henry Doktorski, an accomplished pianist, organist, composer, and author, is best known as one of the leading classical concert accordionists in the United States. He has performed with cellist Mstislav Rostropovich, violinist Itzhak Perlman, conductors John Williams, Lorin Maazel and Reinbert de Leeuw, and orchestras such as the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble, and the Tanglewood Festival Orchestra. He has appeared on various recordings and has had his articles printed in diverse music publications. A graduate of Park College in Kansas City, with a double major in piano performance and music education, Doktorski is currently finishing his Masters of Music degree in composition at Duquesne University.
