As of February 2012, House of Musical Traditions is no longer carrying CDs.

Over the years we have "changed with the times" and sold LPs, then cassettes, then CDs, and then reduced our department to CDs only from artists local to the Washington, DC area. Now in our 40th year in business, we've had to make the difficult decision that it is no longer financially viable for us to maintain a CD department.

We have a vibrant local music community here in the Washington DC area, and HMT will continue to support this community with regular in-store performances/meet-and-greets, and with the Takoma Park Open Mic (Facebook page).
