Michael Kelly Mandolins
In our opinion, Michael Kelly mandolins are the best overseas-made mandolins on the market, and have opened up a world of great quality mandolins at great prices. While most Korean-made mandolins come out of the same 2 factories, Michael Kelly has their own factory in Korea which has enabled them to introduce a wide variety of finish options and features you don't find on other "cookie-cutter" mandolins.
All Kelly mandolins have solid tops, and all except the Festival Pack have solid back and sides, and radiused fingerboards. All models have a solid tailpiece which gives improved tone, makes string changes easier, and eliminates the "rattle" you sometimes get with two-piece tailpieces.

ANNOUNCEMENT DATED JANUARY, 2010 -- Michael Kelly is still in the midst of switching factories in Korea, and mandolin availability is very limited. They still have some of their higher-end models in stock that we can order (most at discounted prices), but we have been informed that regular production won't be in full swing until May 2010.
