If your instrument requires servicing that may be covered under warranty, contact HMT first. In most cases the manufacturer will require us to ship your instrument back to them for servicing/replacement. Though HMT is not a dealer for Martin guitars, we can provide Martin warranty service through our luthier Steve Carmody, who is Martin-authorized for warranty repairs.

We offer a 30-day repair or replace warranty against defects on new items that are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Used and consigned instruments do not carry this warranty, but are returnable within 7 days; see our return policy for more info.

SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS -- These are items we don't normally carry in our store and have to order from the supplier.

Special Order Items may be returned for a full refund ONLY if the item is damaged or defective.
If you are interested in buying a sitar, tambura, tablas, harmoniums, or other foreign imported instrument, please read our article about the quality of some of these imported items.

We will accept "preferential" returns on special order items (please see exceptions below), but in cases other than damage or defect, the refund will be subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Some special order items may require a deposit. We will notify you if this is the case.
