Windwood Bamboo flutes

These bamboo flutes are handmade by Billy Miller in Floyd, VA. He selects and harvests the bamboo himself. The bamboo is selected for size, uniformity, thickness and density, and cured for six months to a year before construction. This keeps cracking to a minimum and insures a flute with a clear, rich tone. Check out these demo videos on YouTube!

The flutes are strobe-tuned accurately to play in concert pitch, and have a 2.5 to 3 octave range. Due to variations in the bamboo, colors can range from mahogany to light blond. Each flute also includes a soft drawstring case.

Not all keys may be currently in stock -- please contact us if you require a rush order.
