Violin and fiddle: Classical, Folk/Traditional, all levels
Viola: beginning to intermediate

Julia Borland-Ferneborg has been playing the violin for 50 years and teaching for 30. She studied violin pedagogy at Malungs Folkhogskola in Sweden, the Suzuki method in Orebro Sweden, as well as numerous violin/fiddle courses offered in many parts of that country. Nowadays she lives and teaches in Takoma Park during the school year, and in Sweden during the summer. Julia also teaches beginning-to-intermediate level viola. She is a member of Capitol Quicksteps Quadrille Orchestra, Childsplay, and numerous other constellations. She works with students of all ages, beginner through advanced, classical & traditional styles, and also works with ensembles.

Lessons are $60 per hour or $30 for 30 minutes and are held in Takoma Park, MD. Please call (301)270-9090 or contact the lessons coordinator by email.
