Piano -- classical, Suzuki

Gina Denny is a professional piano instructor and musician who has been a respected musical guide to children and adults in her Maryland community for more than thirty years.

From a musical family, she began playing piano at the age of six. Her early training was at the Eastman School of Music and the University of Hartford where she received a degree in piano; she has studied with the renowned pianists Ward Davenny, Thomas Schumacher, John Perry, and John O-Connor.

Her training has continued in Suzuki certification workshops and in piano performance and pedagogy conferences in France, Holland, and the United States. A performing member of the prestigious Friday Morning Music Club, she has performed on the radio, and as a soloist in various local venues.

Ms. Denny specializes in the Suzuki method but offers instruction in other forms. She is a member of the Washington Music Teacher Association, Maryland State Music Teachers Association, and Suzuki Association of the Greater Washington Area.

Each season she arranges several low-stress, children-only recitals in her home; a public recital for family and friends is given at the end of the school year. Testimonials available upon request.

Lessons are $30 for 1/2 hour and $60 for 1 hour, and are held in Takoma Park, MD. Please call (301)270-9090 or contact the lessons coordinator by email.
