Music Lessons > Sharon Knowles updated March 24, 2004
Celtic harp

Sharon Knowles played her harps at festivals all over Scotland, Ireland and Western Australia before emigrating to the United States in 1997. She now teaches workshops and performs all over the United States and is a sought after teacher in the DC area. Sharon is famous for her uncompromising method of teaching the Scottish and Irish idiom. As harper and storyteller, solo or with her band, Fynesound, Sharon is well known for her fast reels and exciting accompaniment. Fynesound is a truly authentic sounding Scottish band, with harp, cello, fiddle, singing and dancing. Sharon and Sue Richards are now a music making and storytelling duo called Hen. Their debut performance was at the Edinburgh International Harp Festival in Scotland.

Lessons are $40 for 1 hour, and are held in Germantown, MD. Please call (301)270-9090 or contact the lessons coordinator by email.
