Drawing on his broad performance and compositional background in folk, jazz, classical, rock, soul, blues and musical theater, Mark offers his students a wide musical perspective while tailoring lessons to match student interests. He works with students on music of their choosing to improve technique, develop an understanding of music theory, and express their own musical ideas through improvisation and composition.

Mark maintains an active performance schedule as a soloist, an accompanist, and a member of several groups (for details visit www.marksylvester.net). If you are interested in performing, Mark will work with you to develop strong performance skills.
