April began playing the harp when she was 7 years old, and later went on to earn degrees in harp performance and music composition at the University of Maryland. She has traveled the country extensively playing with her trio Harp 46, comprised of harp, bass and percussion. Harp 46 has released two albums, both of which ranked in the top ten on the New Age radio charts for several weeks. April is comfortable playing and teaching in many styles (folk, Celtic, classical, jazz, etc) and enjoys working with students of all ages to help them achieve their goals with the harp. She teaches both lever and pedal harp.
