Brian Weber is a local musician who has been teaching professionally
since 1996. He teaches guitar, bass, trumpet, piano and other brass
instruments to all ages and skill levels. He studied Jazz and Classical
music, as well as composition and theory at Montgomery College. He has
also studied privately with some of the world's foremost players and
teachers. Brian is also director of the summer teen music program Takoma Groove Camp.
Lessons are geared towards each individual's desires and needs. Students
will learn all about the language of music and will attain a solid
understanding of music theory. Lessons are both fun and challenging,
with emphasis also on playing, technique, writing, reading and
improvisation. Brian is adept at teaching a variety of musical styles,
and students will be introduced to all these various genres. Voluntary
student shows and band showcases are also held a few times a year.
Brian's pursuit of music began at age 5. He is an accomplished and
seasoned live multi-instrumentalist and who has been performing for
about 25 years up and down the east coast. For updates and news on

Brian is also the Drum Repairman for HMT.
Lessons are $25 per 1/2 hour, $50 per hour and are held the House of Musical Traditions' new teaching studios at 7008 Westmoreland Ave, Takoma Park, MD. This is next door to our new store location at 7010 Westmoreland. The studios are upstairs from the Curves gym. This location is walking distance from the Takoma Metro station, and free parking is available in the lot behind our new store.
